DESCRIPTION:Lots of Finnish fun with this celebration of Finnish-American heritage. Friday night opening ceremonies including the St. Urho proclamation and the crowing of 2026 St Urho King and Queen with an evening of polka type music to follow. Saturday starts off with the pancake breakfast by pine cone 4H\, followed by the changing of the guards Nytes of St Urho\, the St. Urho Days parade\, and the Grasshopper hunt. Businesses around Menahga will also be having St. Urho specials so be sure to stop by The Cotty\, Northbound Spirits\, and the VFW.

SUMMARY:Snowshoe or Boot Hike
DESCRIPTION:Grab some snowshoes or snow boots (depending on snow conditions) and head down Schoolcraft Trail with a park naturalist and explore late winter from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday\, March 14. Meet at the Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center. Hike will be between 1 and 1 1/2 miles in length. All experience levels are welcome! This snowshoe hike is dependent on snow depth. If not enough snow\, it will become a snow boot walk. Dress in layers and wear snow boots. SNOWSHOES: A limited number of snowshoes is available to use during this program. Prior to the program\, contact naturalist Sandra if you need to reserve a pair at Sandra.d.lichter@state.mn.us or 218-699-7252.
