DESCRIPTION:A growing portion of the 50+ population is composed of “solos”. These are individuals\nwho cannot or choose not to rely on family to help them navigate life events and make\nhealth decisions. The group helps solos plan for and manage health and well-being\ndecisions and events—both large and small—during the second half of life. Participants\nwork with each other to create a personal ‘backup plan’ to make sure they have help\nand support when they need it. The Backup Plan concept was designed by Linda Camp\,\nan independent consultant and researcher. \n“Solos” will meet to explore The Back Up Plan on the 1st Monday of each Month starting May 6\, 2024\, 10:30am to noon. DESCRIPTION:The Caregiver Closet is a resource available to caregivers and veterans in Park Rapids and the surrounding areas. \nThe items provided by the Caregiver Closet include durable medical equipment\, both reusable medical supplies and one-time use supplies. The items are offered free of charge\, with the expectation that the items will be returned to the Caregiver Closet (if they are reusable) when they are no longer needed\, so they can be redistributed. \nThe Caregiver Closet can include\, at any given time\, canes\, walkers\, commodes\, shower benches\, crutches\, hospital beds\, lift chairs\, Hoyer lifts\, and so much more. All equipment is clean and ready to go in “as is” condition. \nEquipment and supply use are free. Donations are tax deductible.
