The items are offered free of charge\, with the expectation that the items will be returned to the Caregiver Closet (if they are reusable) when they are no longer needed\, so they can be redistributed. \nThe Caregiver Closet can include\, at any given time\, canes\, walkers\, commodes\, shower benches\, crutches\, hospital beds\, lift chairs\, Hoyer lifts\, and so much more. All equipment is clean and ready to go in “as is” condition. \nEquipment and supply use are free. Donations are tax deductible.

DESCRIPTION:Afternoon Out is a social opportunity for individuals experiencing memory loss\, their Caregivers\, Partners\, Family\, and Friends. We engage in music and other fun activities in a safe and supportive environment. Afternoon Out is free\, and takes place every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm\, except when a holiday falls on a Thursday. \nPlease complete an initial pre-registration by calling Living at Home at 218-732-3137. While we appreciate knowing how many to expect\, we welcome you anytime. For respite situations\, please call ahead to notify us. \nWeather Closings: If Park Rapids Schools have a late start\, early out\, or are closed due to bad weather\, all Living at Home Activates will be cancelled! We will make announcements on the Living at Home Facebook Page and on the local radio.

DESCRIPTION:Northern Dental Access Center is excited to invite you to an Open House on September 19\, in celebration of our newest community dental clinic in Park Rapids! \nIn April\, Northern Dental Access Center acquired the Community Dental\nClinic operated by CHI-St. Joseph’s Health and over the past months the operation has fully\ntransitioned to a fourth Northern Dental Access Center clinic site. Members of the community\,\nleaders\, patients and all—are invited to an Open House to celebrate on Thursday\, September\n19\, 2024 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Visitors can tour the facility\, meet with staff and learn\nabout the services provided by this nonprofit organization. \n“It’s been an exciting and gratifying transition and we’ve enjoyed such a warm welcome from\nall parts of this wonderful community\,” says long time Executive Director\, Jeanne Larson.\n“We’re here to serve people in need with dental care\, and we would love for interested people to\ncome visit and learn about our work.” \nNorthern Dental Access Center provides access to dental care for people in need\, primarily\nfocused on those enrolled in Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care. Patients from the previous\nPark Rapids Community Dental Clinic can easily continue their care; others can access dental\ncare through cash discounts offered\, based on income eligibility. Information about making an\nappointment or for career opportunities can be found at www.northerndentalacces.org\nNorthern Dental Access Center opened in Bemidji in 2009\, adding a satellite clinic in Halstad in\n2018 and a third site in Bagley in 2023. Together they will host 30\,000 patient appointments a\nyear\, with families traveling from all over northwest Minnesota.
