Students will create their own play with music to perform for the Park Rapids and Pine Point communities. Everything will be created by kids – sets\, costumes\, music\, script\, publicity – with lots of theater games and acting/vocal exercises to build confidence and forge friendships. \nInstructors: NLOKids is led by the NYC directors from Northern Light Opera Company\, along with seasoned teachers and student directors.\nThis camp will be broken into different sections.\n\nPlaywriting\, Melanie Goodreaux\, Lead Director: June 16-18 Fee$15\nSet Design & Composing\, Ginger Singer & Lisa Dove\, Lead Directors: June 23-27\nStaging & Production! Acting\, movement\, rehearsals for the original work. Led by Hawkin Paul: June 30-July 11 (not July 4)\nPerformance will be Friday\, July 11 in the afternoon at Pine Point Community Center\n\nSaturday\, July 12 in late morning at Park Rapids Armory \n\nStudents will be tranported from Century School to either Pine Point School or the Armory. DESCRIPTION:To facilitate local and tourist shopping\, several of the downtown businesses have agreed to stay open later than usual on Wednesdays. You may remember that this happens during Christmas time for several stores\, and several local businesses have decided to extend their hours starting in June and running through the end of December. \nEach business can choose to remain open\, and the availability of stores will vary based on staffing. Participating stores will stay open later\, some until 7 PM.
