Students will learn front crawl using a combined arm and leg action, elementary backstroke, kneeling dives, deep water exploration in chest deep water, swim the width of the pool and introduced to scissor kick and dolphin kick. To pass to the next level, students must be able to:<\/p>\n
* float on front and back unassisted<\/p>\n
* push off wall on stomach with face submerged for 5 body lengths unassisted<\/p>\n
* Swim-Float-Swim 15 ft unassisted<\/p>\n
* able to submerge and retrieve an object in chest deep water<\/p>\n
* able to swim on their front the width of the pool wile taking a breath, and using combined arm and leg action.<\/p>\n
