Join us on Tuesday, June 25th from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Northwoods Bank Community Room as we celebrate the re-establishment of the League of Women Voters in Park Rapids! Originally active in the area from the 1930s through the 1960s, the League was revitalized in 2000 thanks to a dedicated group of community members—and now it’s time to honor that legacy and look toward the future.
Enjoy a light meal, cake, and an inspiring evening with guest speaker Sabrina Halvorson, CEO of the North Dakota News Cooperative. She’ll be speaking on the timely topic of news literacy and combating misinformation. Shannon Geisen, editor of the Park Rapids Enterprise will also be speaking.
