Muskie Days Festival

🎶 Muskie Waters Days is making waves in Nevis, MN, with a two-day celebration of music, storytelling, culture, and community spirit, July 18–19!

Friday kicks off with the soul-stirring voice of Annie Humphrey, whose heartfelt music and life-rooted storytelling set the tone for an evening of meaning and melody. She’s followed by David Huckfelt, acclaimed songwriter and activist known for his poetic lyricism and collaborations with Indigenous artists. Then the stage lights up with the foot-stomping, accordion-fueled Americana of Monkey’s Uncle, a brotherly trio that blends charm and rhythm in equal measure. Closing out the night are the blues-rock power of Corey Medina & Brothers, and the island-infused grooves of Rootz Within, bringing people together with positivity and late-night energy.

Saturday keeps the momentum going with high-energy performances by local funk-rock legends Kitchi Boogie, followed by a powerful hoop dance demonstration from Joe and Mattias BigBear—a moving visual expression of healing and tradition. Later, singer-songwriter Kyle Colby takes the stage with a genre-spanning solo set, leading into the raw storytelling and grit of Minnesota folk icon Charlie Parr. As night falls, prepare to dance with the psychedelic country-funk sounds of Saltydog, and close the evening with the electrifying, honky-tonk country of Troubadour, guaranteed to leave the crowd on a high note.
